However, you may/will have difficulty proving you own the trademark, as I believe New York State owns/has registered the "I love NY" logo and is pretty agro about protecting it. I know they fought "I love golf" or something like that a couple of years ago and the state won. Will try to find it.
 
If billabong is scraping your brown trout, that definitely sucks, becuase we all know that they are your shirts.
 
Reminds me of the story I heard about a guy in australia who created a heated wetsuit, and pitched it to Quiksilver and Ripcurl, and both rejected him. Low and behold, a year later...

I bought a excel 3/2 last fall. I have only worn it four times but I like it a lot. It is the thermolite model. Hope it lasts since I like it a lot and it fits well.

What was the final outcome?  Did Billabong buy gothamsurf like they have everything else this year?  As far as I know in the past 2 years bong has purchased, Sector 9, Xcel, Orion Surfboards, and a few surfshops down in FL.  Im sure these other stuff over seas that they have acquired?  I wonder when Red Bull will buy quicksilver?
