  • Not a pop out. Bahne was one of the first SoCal shapers to go bi-coastal in the 1970s. I know Grogs & Surfers Union in NJ sold Bahne surfboards in the late 70s but not in the 80s. This one looks like its from the heyday.
So heavy you can't even pick it up.

My shop Surfboard Revolution was the   dealer for Bahne surfboards and skateboards from 1970 to 1975 or 76ish.   Our shop was in Amityville. And these were all custom boards.
We probably sold board like that for about $135-$140.

  • thanks for the replies guys...that's nice it's not a popout.

i was going to use this originally as a semi practice repair board (since there's quite a few), but maybe it's better suited for the swap?  think anyone would be interested?

  • I would. What do you want? I have a 7-0 Halsey (Long Island) diamond tail semi-gun from the same era and a 6-2ish Fox Wave Weapon twin w/stabilizer from the early/mid-eighties. Both are water tight and ready to go.

  • Holey Crappers Crackie! The pin lines on that board look like they match the lines on mine. Minus the red spray job.

  • I sold it to Cologeruncle to finance Ed Lover. No pics of the Fox on this computer but that board has the best fins (Greg Loher's glimpse into the future with concave & vector-like fins)

  • If you make it out to Hawaii, bring it with you and I'll take it off your hands. That pintail single fin design works like magic in my backyard when the conditions are right.

  • classic 70's era single fin semi-gunish board,   shaped by any one of a bunch of unreal guys from the san diego area,  pin lines are done in resin, probably by Cody, who ruled the board color world for about 25 years(i hear he's still doing work on customs)resin pinlines were the top of the pile skill wise--careful taping and careful resin/cat mix plus exact color blending.   don't see that skill anymore.    thats a classic from that era and they rode real nice too

  • Change that "rode" to "Ride real nice". My 7'2" Bahne is really super fun in punchy waves. It's got a bit of weight to it that really helps it motor along. I'll have to givee her some love during the next swell.
