Question is, would you want the wide part forward with a pulled in tail, or would you want a nugget-like shape with the wide part towards the back?

Actually, I think the question is, why would you waste a perfectly good blank on a dubious design principle when you could shape a board you know will work and then tart it up however you wanted to get the required aesthetic finish.

look at that psych.  you could even make a board that looks like a peanut...if you could just eat it post surf. now that would be the perfect board. 

a coffin board is making much more sense.  you could really charge, and then have a resting place for all eternity if you fark up. it's making sense now.
