This is actually really bad news for all of us.

Maybe so, but greed popped their balloon. Krispy Kreme and now this. You can't have 2 stores one block apart selling overpriced products (no matter what your selling) and expect BOTH to do well. Jeez, where my Dad lives in Florida there were 3 K-marts within less than 1 mile of each other and they were empty all the time. Finally, ALL of them closed when the Super Wally Worlds went in down the street.

Interesting though, the Astor Wine and Liquor Store has apparently flourished and changed to a bigger nicer location down Lafayette. HMmmm. I wonder if there is a corallation with a slow market and the increase of alchohol consumption?

what kills me is that there are probalby 50 starbucks in the downtown area but 0 on the whole rockaway peninsula....
i get that everyone works there but still....not even 1!!(howard beach is the closest, I know)
