I'm posting to see if anyone would be interested in sponsoring/ volunteering/ promoting a Life Rolls On event in NJ this summer.  Life Rolls On is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that exists to be a grassroots resource that provides hope and is an advocate on behalf of young people whose lives have been affected by spinal cord injury (SCI).  These events have been held in California the last few years and we are looking to do one here right in Central NJ.

We need the help of all those in the surf industry and we are reaching out to you guys as part of the local surf community.

They Will Surf Again, a no-cost program underwritten by Life Rolls On and generous sponsors, is the most popular program of Life Rolls On. Injured athletes from around the country gather together for a day of surfing! Some have not surfed since their injury, some have never surfed, some surf all the time despite their varying mobility. TWSA connects dozens of volunteers, with a handful of injured surfers, together for a day of excitement, joy, and best of all, surf!

Please let me know if you would have an interest supporting this great cause and what you can do to help out.  We need everything from foam long boards (NSP,etc) to wetsuits, fins, and volunteers (team leaaders)  in and out of the water - promotion, etc.

Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Guys - this could happen to anyone of us.. I myself was in a car accident , went through a back surgery - but I'm one of the lucky ones.  Help those that weren't so lucky have a a great day and somethingt o remember forever.

Please help if you can.

Sincerely.
Joe Levy

Hey Joe...thanks for posting this up - some of us here have been involved with Wheels2Water in the past, a similar type idea - and it's a tremendous idea and a tremendous cause.

Please keep us posted on updates, and very definitely let me know what you have planned, we'll do everything we can to help you publicize the event. email me at webmaster@nynjsurf.com -

Thanks!

Thank you!

If anyone can help in anyway.. please let me know.

We need volunteer teams, (registaration, promotion, water, food, etc, etc)
Also: gear (board and suits) , surf shop hook ups, sponsors, media ,etc etc...

If anyone is up for a challenge and wants to make a difference.. please let me know.  This is a great opportunity to share the joy and spiritual side of surfing with someone who otherwise would not have the chance.

Regards,
J

Doc, could the wheels to water or life rolls on folks do something in Rock? I think that would be awesome. I would totally help out.
