I concur. Rap's awful now. Awful! I agree that that mid eighties to early 90s zone was when it was still (dare I say it) FUN, which is a bad word in rap music now.

GraveDiggaz were hilarious. The dudes from Stetsasonic etc yapping about smoking sodium pentathol laced Newports and running around in straight-jackets. Classic.

Were they the "All That Jazz" guys that had the live band and bad-ass DJ?  I saw them play an insane late night set at the Wetlands once.  Jeepers, I'm old.  That had to have been at least 20 years ago.
