I'm totally becoming gay for rail grabs. Always tried to avoid it on waves and above them. Still find them horribly overused on waves, but tried it for the first time yesterday above them. Can't wait for a nice onshore rampy day to try a few variations. It seems like cheating, but I think I can get into doing it.

hmm... have to learn some variations, and what to call them. what would you call the grab Dane is doing here?:  now picture my overweight, over the hill ass doing a six inch version of his backside air on a smaller, darker, colder, sh!ttier wave, and that's the grab i was playing with last night. |

how methodical.
not sure about the backwards board tweak method while surfing. good in photos, though not practical when actually hoping to land it (if you're not dane reynolds).

a foot clamp perhaps. i really want to get a rashguard with webbed wings attached. coolest thing yet is how my ripcurl wetsuit has a fake assed batman sign on the inside, marking what it calls the batwing waterblock system.

i've always been a big fan on backside grab rail...looks sick on big drops
as for airs and turns...doing a big frontside cutback looks pretty sick grabbing the rail
