frankly it's not surprising at all, to be honest

good luck finding it

Those signs were not dumb at all... They were for everyone in water's benefit. They told about things that most beginners don't know that end up in broken boards and sometimes broken bones. Dbob has done a big service for the surf community in Long Beach, and if you don't agree with the signs, at least realize that a lot of hard work went into those signs and its just plain rude for someone to destroy something someone has spent a lot of effort on.

These signs would have been far more effective today if they could have been used to swat the drop in crew at a crowded jetty in lb today. It wouldnt have been bad at all if the same cast of characters didnt drop in on anyone and everyone all morning long, one cat seriously told me that if you were behind him more than twice you had  a real problem, he was pissed at all those guys behind him distracting him I suppose...I suspect you could keep a sign wedged in the rock at the end of the jetty, when necessary it could be used gong show style to regulate the offending parties...
