My left lung hurts. Like, it feels like a massive stabbing under my left boob and it hurts to take death breaths. It feels like I've been having a heart attack for 3 days now....definitely water related injury. Happened after the last time I was in the water, like the symptoms popped up a couple hours later when I was lying down. I'm not coughing, that's probably a good sign. Did my lung collapse? I think it collapsed. Air pocket due to rib injury? Am I dying? OMG is this cancer? It could be ovarian cancer in such a late stage that it move to my other organs! Am I going to go into cardiac arrest like Michael Jackson? Anyone have an Xray machine?

For reals has anyone ever had a lung issue like this?

sounds like you pulled a muscle. Of course I'm not a doctor though I did live through exactly what your talking about.

Hurricane tracking by east coast surfers is a longstanding tradition - sort of like seeing the beautiful girl across a crowded bar - you may not ever get to see her up close, but even from across the room, damn is she beautiful to look at.

I've spent more time in hospitals the past month than I have my entire life. No health insurance but I have a state agency picking up the tab for now so perhaps I can piggyback an xray onto a drs appointment later this week.
When I touch my ribs they don't hurt or even feel bruised. I think it's my left lung. If I die I leave all my computer & multimedia stuff for Psycho. The good camera and telephotos I want sent to Squatey. Someone give Elk my vinyl and porn collection. Don't let anyone cremate me and yes I'm an organ donor. I demand to have an open bar at my funeral with a british rock from the 60s & 80s soundtrack. And it has to be in a rollerrink.

Could this be stress related?

I should probably avoid blowing up balloons and scuba diving today.

it sounds like herpes simplex 3...  kind of a mix of both that meet in the middle... it'll go away in a few days... then come back.. then go away... then come back.... then go away... then come back... then go away...[twitch]

You should definitely go to an ER now... you can never be too careful when it comes to your health. You should go right now especially if someone else is gonna pick up your tab  ;)

But seriously... GO NOW!!!

It most likely isnt a collapsed lung but if you did fracture a rib there is a possibility that it could become one. Why ask about an emergent situation on an internet surfing site. Get yourself to a Dr or ER. Most doctors offices do not have xray on premises so you are probably better off going to an ER. I would recommend staying out of one of those urgent care places. I know I work at one.
