I saw that middle board the day I picked up my 5'9" X2 quad and I had to place another order right on the spot.  I ended up getting the M16 in a 6'3" quad and I couldn't be happier.  If you haven't tried a Walker yet you owe it to yourself to give one a try - you will not be disappointed.

rad man. I got my 5'8 Mandala 2+1 Diamond Tail from Marty too. Did you ever see him surf? He friggin kills it.
