My move to my temp loaction here in the building is a nightmare for our department. Theyre moving us into Cubes half the size, no storage space, they took away our overhead cabinets & we're all looking at each other like, Hothe Eff are we going to use these? theres basically no cubical wall & we're all facing each other from the belly up. We all have massive needs for storage, we cant even hang out coats becuase the cube wall is about 3 feet tall. super flourecent lighting, lame! I swear they love to make employees feel like theyre naked on a packed subway car. Its awefull. Like this except with super bright fluerecent lights.

I've learned to live sitting in a high traffic area with no walls, but I've never learned to like it.

This place is sucking my soul.

Cube Farm!

I remember my days at Federated in one of those lovely squares, and i will never forget (no matter how hard i try) Betty, across from me, who made a breakfast of re-heated fish cakes and sausage every day and talked with her mouth full.

Ahh those were the days

I may be joining you in the ranks of the self employed very soon. Wink Not sure yet but, Im so stoked on it. Thats just me & my personality, I suck at working for large corps. I find it hard to feel worth anything & I get so depressed I feel like my heart is breaking with every day I do this. I know its a kinda spoiled outlook in America but Ive always ben a loner, made myself a living & then I came to NYC & have worked for the man since. I owned my own business before, I miss it so much! If everything pans out, in the next 2 or three years, I'll be doing my thing & loving life again. If not, then I tried & that means enough to me.

You've been talking about this guys runny nose for long enough to convince that its a coke habit, not the sniffles.

Cubicles remind me of livestock farms. Like a dairy farm with cows lined up, getting milked all day.

i enjoyed working in cubicles. it felt very communal and everyone motivated each other to work harder. the trading desk seat like 5 people to a square foot, but the environment was actually pretty fun--when then market is going well.

Cracky, just poison the dude already!  Grin Lob boxes of Tissue over the wall.

Frrok, Bruva, this is exactly what my Cubical will look like minus 1 screen & my supervisor & my Boss will sit directly behind me. 1 only 4 feet away almost facing me, the other right behind her, facing me about 15 feet away. NYNJ will become a masterpiece in the art of slight of hand & web access. If i continue a post count anywhere near what I'm producing now, I should be crowned king of the internet.
