Back in 2002 there was a billboard at the entrance to the midtown tunnel that read,

"They call it the World Series, but they usually play it here." superimposed over the image of a lit up Yankee Stadium.

Ah, glory days. That was a helluva run.

Other than that, the best thing I ever saw in NYC was Brenda DeLisi walking down the block towards me, wearing a white terrycloth tube top and a pair of cutoffs. But that's a whole different ballgame.  Wink

They converted the local Wendy's into the McDowell's from Coming to America. That was pretty cool.

Thousands of sweaty people on escstacy for Tiesto at sound factory in 2000, that, was the craziest thing ever and I was probally one of 3 people not on E.... I doubt that scene will ever be recreated.

Wow! too many things, but here's a partial list:

Swans & Butthole Surfers at CBGBs

FOETUS performing anywhere, but especially at the Paladium

Orbital at limelight

KMFDM, Thrill Kill Kult, Lydia Lunch & Karen Finley at the Dungeon on 25th St - Karen Finley performed naked & pulled a 25' thick yellow ribbon through her pussy protesting first Bush's war & threw it into the crowd - I have never seen people scatter as fast as that in my life

Getting stuck in an elevator with Laurie Anderson for 40mins, the thinking man's hottie!

GG Allen defacating on stage at the Beowulf on Ave A, picking it up to fling at people but instead slips in his own sh!t & cracks his head open, mike stand falls & slams into hi mouth - sh!t & blood everywhere!!!!!   Cheesy Grin

And personally bringing Blue Horizon & Jack McCoy to NYC

WTC, right on about that, riding the express maintenance elevator with my dad who was a Port Authority Lt. It was the fastest elevator in the world, if you jumped on the way down you smacked your head on the ceiling.
