  • That's great, NJL!

I don't know a ton about classic boards and nothing about the ratings system (other than the obvious - it must be a 0 - 10 scale LOL) - is there a standard scale for what's a 7, what's an 8, what's an 8.5 or anything? Or is it a relative "eye of the beholder" type of scale?

eye of the beholder.  some man's 5 might be another man's 7.  kinda like with the ladies, except it doesn't vary as much with alcohol content.

I dunno...I've never tempted fate, but I'm not sure I'd trust myself in a decent surf shop with a couple of beers in me....  ;) ::) ::) ;D

  • Excellent job, Pat - great turnout despite the weather, and all sorts of great stuff on display!

Didnt pick up anything myself (was sorely tempted on a couple!), but grom scored an inexpensive 5'8" twinnie...

All in all, a great day and many thanks of course to Eric and everyone and The Beach House Classic Board Shop for their hospitality!

  • Thanks for everyone turning out.  Weather wasn't the best, but lots of great boards and smokin deals.  I am saving coin for the next swap.  Couldn't believe some boards that didn't sell, but partially my fault too since I didn't buy anything.  Traded two and met/hung out with lots of nice people so I am still super stoked.

See you all in the fall.  There were people with cameras, so I will try and link up some photos.
