What LNG Means For Long Island...
Presentation at Long Island University, CW Post
This Wednesday 2/24 at 7pm (come early)
Located on the 3rd Floor of Hillwood Commons

This week join the Sparrow Project as we co-host a presentation at Long Island University on the Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) artificial island being proposed to be built 13 miles south of Long Beach, NY. The presentation will feature a talks by David Byer Water Policy Analyst for Clean Ocean Action, Sparrow Media founder Andy Stepanian, Cipher drummer & Surfrider volunteer Danny Bobis. The night is open to both the public & students and is aimed at educating and building grassroots resistance to the construction of these three proposed LNG installations upon the northeast's only natural reef habitat, the cholera bank. A move to LNG is one that shuns renewable resources entirely and gets us hooked on another fossil fuel. After seeing the role that oil played in so many foreign conflicts, we must opt out of committing ourselves to a similar paradigm.

The Long Island University CW Post Campus is located on 720 Northern Boulevard, Brookville, NY 11548.
