Yeah, I'd be happy with one of those as well. Do you ride one?

  • yep--picked a 6'0 up on a trip when the boards i brought weren't doing it.  it's pretty much a quiver killer and quickly became my favorite board.  wide point just north of center, good hidden volume, drawn in tail.  i know they're supposed to be a bit of a step-up, but it seemed great to me as an all rounder, as it groveled well in waist-chest soft point surf.  actually was thinking that two tweaked rock-ups could work real well as a quiver--maybe a smaller one, 5'10 or so, with maybe a bit wider of a tail and more volume and an elongated one, say 6'3, with a narrower tail and a bit less volume.

  • Just ordered one from Mark at Faktion. definitely using it as step up for barrels. I have a couple excellent small to medium size wave boards, that also work in bigger softer waves, so really just need the barrel step up.

Sure. I went big, 6'3 x 19.8 x 2.6. I want the volume of a standard 6'7" in a shorter package. Its all in the details though--and the surfer. So, we'll see. may also not have waves for it for three months. never know.
