thanks nj.....
yeah talking w/ gene, at first i thought he mentioned mini- hornet, and then in later conversations said its a comet.... and i was like booooyeah!!!!!! and then wait and wait and wait, but worht every minute

If I remember correctly, and I'm sure Pefa or Onefin can give you the real scoop, Gene was making the board for himself, but there was a mix up where only the bottom and not the deck got glassed with kevlar.  He shelved the board half done for awhile while he figured out what to do with it, which ultimately seems to have been to sell it to Pefa.  Sick, sick looking board.

But NJ_LB is correct, this is probably THE LAST COMET that will ever be made.  Good for you, man.

now we just gotta wait for swell........
...... and you can pry it out of my cold dead hands.....
.....just kidding, many are welcome to try it, just make sure im not in the way....

tried it yesterday for a bit in the dribble cause i couldn't resist, and it felt like driving a sports car through manahatan- almost an insult to the machine, so i gotta wait for a swell to really feel 'er....
