Any one have leads on accomodations down there?
Either resort or rental villa, preferably with own pool.

Barbados weird but true: did you know that there were once white slaves on the island of Barbados. The decendents of the white slaves still live on the island and are refered to as "Red Legs."

I was there about 7 years ago. What a great place. Surfed Soupbowls and Freights(Southpoint area). Also caught a fun log session on some wrap swell around the bend from Freights(like waist high razor thin-lipped peelers). Caught 2 OH Soupbowls storm surf(easily the biggest waves I've surfed outside of HI-legit power) but it was choppy as crap and pretty sketchy and a perfect chest high day when I was out all alone with Smokey for about 3 hours-a rediculously rippable righthander at that size(a quad fish would have been deliriously fun). Freights from chest to a bit overhead is completely rippable. Such a fun wave. Loved the roadside Banks beer stands, flying fish and that crazy ass hot sauce. Good diving around b- town. Bring fins and bodysurf the east coast beaches(I didn't pack mine and I regretted it). We stayed at Sam Lord's Castle on the east coast. It was an all-inclusive but pretty reasonable as I recall(it may be called something else by now). The place was crawling with Brits with cockney accents(pretty unsettling) but those guys were fun in the all-inclusive bars! Barbados is an amazing destination for sure.

That's true, Ed - it's VERY british around there!
South Point is an absolute blast - and totally uncrowded - sheltered out of the trades by a nice bluff - damn, I'd go back there in a heartbeat if we ever get the chance...!
