Depends on how you define evil.  Is the implantation of one of the Cleveland Forest City Enterprise Ratner families sons into NYC politics to box out all available industrial city space from the rest of the free market so they can build it out later, after its rezoned, in ways that seem to be completely out of touch with the historical NY character, evil?

Ok. i use the word evil to loosly sometimes, But people have been removed from there homes that they grew up in, thats pretty terrible, Businesses destroyed. The new buildings will literally cast a shadow for 5 to 6 blocks around the development. Also the company has lied to the public and promised them jobs which are not guaranteed at all. His past projects have not been the most successful either, the Atlantic mall has not made a fraction of the profit it intended to and it had vacancies for a very long time.
Is he Evil? Maybe. Is he Terrible for Brooklyn and Humanity? Yes.

wondering how slowly the new apt building in the 90's will fill. As layoffs, downsizing and loan defaults continue, I keep wondering how many of these places will remain vacant, or even uncompleted. The crash is coming folks. Just months away from a moratorium on new mortgages.

there are a more & more empty places, even around 98th where people have been in those for nearly 3 years, so it seems peeps with mortgages from even that long ago are struggling as well

Can you say "the right to bear ARMS?" America and other Third-World Nations must Unite! and battle globalization and outsourcing.
