WOW! Yo Mamma just spanked all your brainwashed asses.
The people that make me sick are the ones that who believe that we are truly free. that we are not...and go ahead call me a loon or unpatriotic or whatever you want...I dont give fark.
What exactly is it that you are being prevented from doing? I guess you don't have the freedom to throw people into woodchippers or rob banks, but barring that sort of thing, but what's your beef exactly? Do you know of any others countries that permit you to carry on with... whatever it is that the US government is preventing you from doing?

we do not live in a completly free nation. On top of that America is not ready to represent itself as an example of freedom and democracy to the world let alone attempt to "free a nation."
Without a doubt, the dumbest things you have ever posted on this site. And that is saying a lot. It is pretty damn naive, that's for sure. This is exactly why the American educational system needs to make world history an integral part of the curriculum. It should be just as important as Math or English and not relegated to a class or two and maybe a few electives. If people knew a bit more about how the rest of the world works, they'd be able to compare our system to others and I have a feeling that people would realize how insanely lucky they are to live in the US or similar societies. Got any relatives or friends who are from truly effed up places (former Soviet block, much/most of Africa, Haiti...)? I have a feeling they'd laugh their asses off, think you were out of your mind, or get really angry. I'd be happy to arrange a phone call between you and my Mom who lived in East Germany for a while, to discuss what it's like to spend an entire day waiting on line for your MONTHLY roll of toilet paper or having to bribe a beaurocrat to get an extra egg or two once in a while. Is America (or other developed capitalist countries) perfect? Of course not, but it beats the hell out of the alternatives.

It is easy to confuse commercial freedom with freedom from . . . in the U.S. In other words, if you are wealthy here you have the freedom to speak you mind in a forum that will actually be heard, you have freedom from: false imprisonment the necessity to join the military or a gang as your only escape from poverty predatory lending bad education early pregnancy sexually transmitted diseases violence and murder--including the death penalty easily preventable and treatable diseases (lack of healthcare) etc.
I think you get the point. American's are much more likely to see poverty as a moral attribute, but the fact remains that you are overwhelmingly likely to die in the same economic class you were born into--and this has been getting worse over the last three decades. Yes, this is the same in much of Europe too, but many of my family oversees is astounded that any free, enlightened country could let so many woman and children die in labor, have such a low literacy rate and still think it is the model for the world. In the general discussion of freedom here class has been ripped from it. This is not so in other parts of the world, where people understand that you cannot separate the two. I think this is a huge problem with our understanding of the whole terrorism situation as well; it is as much about poverty as anything else. When men have access to jobs, and hence marriage and children, they rarely blow themselves up.

You are finally contributing to the site in a progressive way. I'm proud of you. Keep up the good work its really moving and helpful in terms of the conversation we are having. Honestly, Yet again you are blocking the ability for us to have a progressive dialogue amongst men of different beliefs. You seem to have an inability to discuss things without using words like "dumbest" to describe those comments you don't agree with.

And dirt taste better than sh*t. Thats not the point, the point is that America as a separate nation is not completly free. Its not about whos more free than who , its about what our country can do to increase freedom and to increase its own quality of life.

I hate to sound like a broken record but what exactly are you not being allowed to do?
I'm by no means a "good citizen"-type and break all kinds of minor league laws like it was going out of style, but I'm really not losing sleep over it. Yeah, I get annoyed when an airplane security dunce tells me to throw out a bottle of water, when he knows damn well I can prove it's not kerosene by taking a swig, but I'm willing to pay that price if it'll chill people out a bit and create a nice consistent rule (even though its annoying) so no one pulls a fast one on one of thee security twits.
But seriously, what are you being prohibited from doing? I seriously want some examples, because it must be damn interesting if you think the Feddy Gov is out to put a stop to it. Do tell.

Can homosexuals marry eachother as do hetero sexuals? Are abortions still not a legal issue? These are just the most obvious freedom infringements, but there are many lantent attacks on our freedom that go on everyday ie Patriot Act, indiscriminant and discriminant wire tapping of US citizens. Voting in America is still a major issue in terms of equality at the voting booth.

Hard to believe the number of people who believe 9/11 was an inside job ... and neither can Al Qaida , their # 2 guy is blaming Iran for spreading all these conspiracy theories ... apparently , Shiite Iran is spreading all these conspiracy theories to discredit Al Qaida's Sunni fighters ... which kind of makes the John McCain "Iran is training Al Qaida" argument seem silly ... here's a fair and balanced source http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352066,00.html

The 9/11 attack was an attack with an extremely focused objective. To attack the source of oppression in other parts of the world, that being capitalism. Voting in America is still a major issue in terms of equality at the voting booth. perfect example how leftists (sometimes intentionally, mostly ignorantly) distort 9/11 to fit their own delusionally flawed worldviews. Yup those the Islamic Fundamentalists sure struck a blow on 9/11, defending all those women and gays in the Islamic countries from Western captialist oppression.
