Surfrider Foundation Information for New York and New JerseyJersey Shore Chapter - New York City Chapter - Central Long Island Chapter Eastern Long Island Chapter - South Jersey Chapter The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984, Surfrider's coastal environmental work is carried out by tens of thousands of members in chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts and around the world, including our five "local" chapters.
