What went wrong, what went right. Wave selection, takeoff spot, maneuvers. Closeout. Time. Moments. Seconds. To recount the rise, to regret the fall. The thoughts come calmly, even in the midst of confusion. Trapped, jumbled, tumbled, disoriented. And oddly serene. Her grip is tight, no point in struggle. In the depths she'll teach me. I'll allow her to take me, and I'll know She'll give me my release, like countless times before. In time, things will clear. I will see the flaws and learn. In the water, I see the light. I learn the lesson. I see the way. Even as my chest tightens, I see the way. And I find it is now time. Time to break through. To take a breath. Time to rise up. Time to do it. Again. Copyright 2006.
